Genealogy is like a jigsaw puzzle, but you don't have the box top, so you don't know what the picture is supposed to look like. As you start putting the puzzle together, you realize some pieces are missing, and eventually you figure out that some of the pieces you started with don't actually belong to this puzzle. That middle woman, holding the baby, is the spitting image of my Grandmother, Mabel Lathrop. As far as I know, she didn't own a pair of shorts though - and I'm not sure about the sleeveless top...I doubt it though.

Somehow I don't think she's a Lathrop, though that would be an amazing conicidence. Those glasses are something special, aren't they?
