"Ask a Genealogist" on Juneteenth in San Francisco

Tomorrow, Lisa Lee and I will be conducting one-on-one "Ask a Genealogist" sessions from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco. This is part of their Juneteenth event (on Father's Day) and is free and open to the public: http://www.moadsf.org/visit/calendar.html?month=6&year=2012&id=637

To guarantee a time slot with a genealogist you should preregister by e-mailing egessel@moadsf.org.  Walk-ins will be accepted on an as-available basis.  Come on by and let us help you start learning about your family history!

  1. Lisa and I had a busy and productive day today helping people with their family history. Between the two of us we worked with more than 20 people, and we found records for almost every person. We were supposed to end at 4:00, but we still had people lined up, so we kept on going until right before 5:00, when they were closing the museum. Lots of fun, but now my brain is so tired! I look forward to doing it again next year!
